摘要
Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) is a complicated chronic pain condition defined by continued pain disproportionate to any inciting event with symptoms including allodynia, edema, motor dysfunction, skin color and texture, and temperature changes. CRPS type 1 presents with no peripheral nerve lesion and is often secondary to a sympathetic nervous system dysfunction that contributes to these debilitating symptoms. Sympathetic nerve blocks have remained a mainstay modality in physicians’ treatment plans for CRPS, particularly with limited other therapeutic options available. We present a case report resulting in significant relief due to sympathetic nerve blocks.
