Rationale: Adiposity-based chronic disease (ABCD) is a new diagnostic criterion for obesity focused on the amount, distribution, and function of adiposity (1). This model allows to perform early preventive actions to be taken when one or more adiposity-associated metabolic complications are present. Thus, we aim to determine the prevalence of ABCD and to evaluate its association with anthropometric variables in adult population.
