Abstract
•One of the northernmost populations of Larix trees on the Siberian tundra was studied.•First time climate-growth relationships of trees vs. shrubs on a tundra were performed.•Larix growth on the tundra is becoming more sensitive to moisture than to air temperature.•Negative impact of previous summer temperatures on Larix grow is increasing.•Sensitivity of Betula shrubs to July temperatures is stable over time.
