Armchair Researchers: Modes of Ethnographic Research for Understanding and Experiencing the Eurovision Song Contest
Routledge eBooks(2022)
摘要
This chapter explores the various modes of “field” research utilised in Eurovision scholarship, from digital ethnography to on-site fieldwork. In particular, it interrogates the idea of what constitutes “on-site”, as well as the blurring of public/private boundaries in research, as a primary site for most Eurovision researchers is rarely the arena itself but a combination of both their own living rooms and social media spaces.
