Abstract
Due to rapid increase of population aging, the number of older people who have experienced falls is continuously increasing. Falls are preventable unlike other geriatric diseases, but since it is difficult for older people to improve their environments by themselves, housing designers should be familiar with how to design housing environments for preventing falls. Therefore, this study intends to systematically verify educational effects of a fall prevention education by using the Kirkpatrick model using the same educational program by the previous study. This study was designed as a quasi-experience study, and the education was conducted for the students majoring in housing design. As a result of analyzing the responses of 100 students who faithfully participated in this survey, the education was found to be effective in education satisfaction, learning comprehension, and field application, which correspond to the 1-3 level education effect of the Kirkpatrick's model.
