Traumatic Spinal Injury and Robotic Reconstruction

Traumatic spinal injury (TSI) can cause pain and/or neurological deficit and may result in severe morbidity and mortality. The benefits of robotic navigation for pedicle screw placement (including reduced tissue dissection and minimizing blood loss) may be particularly useful in patients with TSI; however, further research is needed on this subset of patients needing spine surgery.
