Analysis of Fatty Acid Composition Profile of Tumoral and Non-Tumoral Tissues from Breast Cancer Patients

Background: Breast cancer is the most diagnosed cancer, with 2.3 million estimated new cases (11.7% of total cases). In woman, breast cancer has high incidence (24.5%) and mortality (15.5%). Several factors influence the risk for this disease, including age, genetics, endocrine factors, and lifestyle such as smoking, alcohol consumption, physical activity, and diet.
