The sampling design captured the range of varying pollution exposures and associated morbidities across each study site, and the structured questionnaire administered during the survey comprised both individual- and household-level questions. The survey respondents’ pool represented a variety of underlying demographic and socioeconomic characteristics. The study attempted to mimic a 24-hour exposure level using data collected twice per day (in the morning and evening) over a two-day period, while uniformly deploying the data collection strategy, both in terms of timing and duration of the readings, in order to universally apply any potential biases across all locations.
