摘要
—Water-soluble pentaamino-acid derivatives of fullerene C 60 (PDF) are being investigated as promising compounds for the treatment of type-2 diabetes mellitus. By the method of luminol-dependent chemiluminescence, as well as by changing the content of malondialdehyde in mouse brain-homogenate, it is shown that the studied PDF effectively inhibit the process of lipid peroxidation in vitro exhibiting antioxidant activity. The most effective antioxidants are potassium salts of fullerenylpenta-N-aminosuccinic acid and fullerenylpenta-N-3-hydroxy-L-tyrosine. The effect of PDF on the process of nonenzymatic protein glycation is studied and it is shown that the studied PDF demonstrate a pronounced antiglycation effect.
