Bandwidth Enhanced Dual Band F-Shape Open Slot and Notch Loaded Microstrip Patch Antenna for Bluetooth/WiMAX/5G Applications

摘要
The development and technological advancement increases the need of microstrip antenna in modern communication system. In the proposed work, a dual band rectangular microstrip antenna embedded with an F-shape open slot, square shape and rectangular shape notches inside patch. The proposed dual band antenna is resonating between 2. 40GHz to 3. 65GHz and 4. 49GHz to 4. 70GHz having fractional bandwidth 41.32% (1250MHz) and 4.57% (210MHz) respectively. Between resonating bands of antenna, maximum return loss of -22.04dB and -15.70dB is obtained at two frequencies 2. 60GHz and 4. 60GHz respectively. Simulation work of proposed antenna has been done by IE3D using microstrip line feed. Proposed dual band antenna shows gain of3.21dB and 4. 87dB and antenna eff 1 ciency of84.5% and 82.7% at both resonant frequencies respectively. This antenna is suitable for Bluetooth, WiMAX and 5G applications.
