摘要
Centre-related factors are known to influence the outcomes of patients on peritoneal dialysis (PD) and explain some of the variability in outcomes that cannot be explained solely by patient-related factors. It is unclear if variability in the PD nurse-patient ratios and nurses’ training impacts patients' outcomes on PD. We aimed to ascertain nurse-patient ratios and training in individual PD units across Australia and evaluate for any association with unit-specific PD-associated peritonitis rates, hospitalisations related to peritonitis, mortality and technique survival.
