Coprime Circular Array DOA Estimation Method

In view of the limited aperture of uniform circular array, a coprime circular array was designed, and a two-dimensional method for estimating the direction of reach based on phase mode excitation without searching spectral peaks was studied. The homogeneous circular array of two array elements was stacked to form a circular array of mutual prime. The array flow pattern similar to ULA was synthesized by phase mode excitation transformation. Theoretical analysis and simulation experiments show that, under the same conditions, compared with the uniform circular array, the proposed reciprocal circular array has a higher resolution of similar sources. Compared with MUSIC algorithm of mutual prime circular array, ESPRIT algorithm of mutual prime circular array has higher real-time performance in the estimation system of the direction of reach.
