Childhood trauma is associated with suicide risk. Depression and hopelessness are also suicide risk factors and may originate from childhood experiences. The current study examined these interrelationships and aimed to determine synergistic effects relative to suicidal ideation (SI). We hypothesized that childhood trauma is associated with hopelessness and SI, and depression and SI.
