•Our study is the first to explore HPG and cerebral function link in CPP girls using sub-frequency ReHo method.•Compare to controls, in slow4 and slow5 band, the CPP girls showed abnormal cerebral activities by ReHo method.•A positive correlation between basal follicle-stimulating hormone level and verbal comprehension index in CPP group.
