摘要
•The present investigation is used to analyze the strain hardening behavior of friction stir welded magnesium alloy.•Hot rolling process is involved in strain hardening of magnesium alloy. The alloy is operated at above the recrystallization temperature.•Titanium zirconium molybdenum (TZM) and cubic boron nitride (CBN) tool tip is considered for friction stir welding process (FSW).•Hardness is measured and compared with tool tip materials. The optimal hardness is attained by taguchi method.
