Energy Guard for Energy Management System in residential buildings

Results of the statistical analyses of the residential buildings' electrical energy consumption have been presented in the article. Demand variability in hourly and daily periods has been modeled by the box plot. It allowed finding the standard deviation each hour on each day of the week. Due to the nondeterministic behavior of the inhabitants, the authors proposed an "energy guard" application as a tool acting as an advisory system. The system has been successfully verified in the real residential buildings.
