Salud Mental Perinatal Y Pandemia Por COVID-19: Consecuencias, Retos Y Reflexiones

RESUMEN La pandemia por COVID-19 describe el contexto actual mundial y se caracteriza por provocar crisis a distintos niveles. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo examinar qué dice la literatura científica sobre los efectos y consecuencias de la pandemia en la salud mental perinatal y reflexionar sobre ello. De la revisión realizada se deduce que, a pesar de las recomendaciones oficiales de fomentar los partos seguros y respetuosos, a lo largo de estos meses las mujeres han sufrido importantes menoscabos en sus derechos. Esto puede conllevar graves repercusiones para ellas y sus bebés. Asimismo, los estudios muestran cómo las mujeres en periodo perinatal están preocupadas por el COVID-19 y sus consecuencias y efectos y necesitan atención por parte de distintos profesionales. Además, parece que muchos estudios y protocolos han omitido alusiones a la salud mental perinatal. Sin embargo, sólo manteniendo una perspectiva integral de la salud podremos garantizar el bienestar de las mujeres y su descendencia. Los resultados de los efectos del COVID-19 en embarazadas y en los recién nacidos, así como las políticas tienen que estar en constante revisión, dado que no hay una evidencia científica clara y definitiva. Sin embargo, sí que existe una constante, y es la necesidad de cuidados a nivel microsistémico, pero también a nivel macrosistémico, a través de medidas y políticas que protejan y garanticen la seguridad a distintos niveles. ABSTRACT The COVID-19 pandemic describes the current global context and is characterized by causing crisis at different levels. This work aims to examine what the scientific literature says about the effects and consequences of the pandemic on perinatal mental health and to reflect on it. From the review carried out it can be deduced that, despite official recommendations to promote safe and respectful births, throu- ghout these months women have suffered significant impairments to their rights. This can involve serious repercussions for them and their babies. Likewise, studies show how women in the perinatal period are concerned about COVID-19 and its consequences and effects and need attention from different professionals. Furthermore, it appears that many studies and protocols have omitted allusions to perinatal mental health. However, only by maintaining compre- hensive perspective on health we can guarantee the well-being of women and their offspring. The results of the effects of COVID-19 in pregnant women and newborns, as well as the politics have to be constantly reviewed, since there is no clear and definitive scientific evidence. However, there is a constant, and it is the need for care at the microsystemic level, but also at the macrosystemic level, through measures and politics that protect and guarantee security at different levels.
