•The 10 mol% SWCNTs/Ag2+ySe film were synthesized by in situ compositing.•In situ compositing of SWCNTs with Ag2Se induces additional interstitial Ag.•Achieving a high power factor of 19.36 μW cm−1 K−2 at 300 K.•Simultaneously achieved superior bending resistance and thermoelectric performance.
