摘要
•Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) and neonatal seizures often cause an adverse neurodevelopmental outcome.•Current therapies do not prevent this outcome in the majority of patients.•We used a rat model of neonatal seizures and later-life motor, cognitive and behavioral impairments.•The loop diuretic torasemide potentiated the anti-seizure and disease-modifying effects of midazolam.
