摘要
The NASA Tropospheric Emissions: Monitoring of Pollution (TEMPO) mission, planned for launch into geostationary Earth orbit (GEO) in January 2023, will provide hourly observations of air pollutants throughout the daytime across a Field of Regard (FoR) covering much of North America. The suite of trace gas and aerosol observations at unprecedented spatiotemporal resolutions from TEMPO will deliver game-changing capabilities in monitoring the diurnal evolution of air pollution in the troposphere, including ozone $(\mathrm{O}_{3})$ and its precursors. During the pre-launch era of the mission, an Early Adopters Program has been engaging prospective end-users and stakeholders of TEMPO data to understand user needs and fully characterize TEMPO capabilities in the context of applied science research. The active end-user engagement activities aim to maximize the value of TEMPO observations for societal benefit during the post-launch mission phase.
