Motion-robust MR imaging of the shoulder using compressed SENSE MultiVane

•Compressed SENSE (C-SENSE), an acceleration technique that combines compressed sensing with SENSE, is described.•Combining C-SENSE with MultiVane increases motion robustness and achieves comparable scan times to Cartesian scans.•C-SENSE MultiVane maintains image quality and is useful for MRI of the shoulder joint.
