Ionic Liquid Mediated Triple Catalysis for Alkylation and Methylation of Acyl Chlorides with Mechanistic Insight

Photo-induced Alkylation of acyl chlorides using various alkanes as alkyl sources, as well as unexpected Methylation using tetramethylsilane as methyl source were reported under Ionic Liquid mediated triple catalysis condition. 30 examples of Alkylation in 50% to 94% yields and 25 examples of Methylation in 40% to 91% yields have been realized in this research.
