Historic and modern-day aerial photos confirm that the Warsaw Ghetto includes the site of the former Brushmakers Factory complex, which now underlies the northern part of Krasiñskich Park. The Brushmakers Factory was a site of Jewish resistance where the 1943 Warsaw Ghetto Uprising began. Historians speculate the Ringelblum archives (time capsules containing documents buried by Jewish activists prior to the liquidation of the Warsaw Ghetto) may be buried near the former Brushmakers Factory. Three GPR grids were collected with a pulseEKKO Pro system with 500 MHz antennae frequency, a odometer triggered 2cm step interval, and a time sampling interval of 200ps. GPR grids were post processed using EKKO_Project software. Grid 1 (12x10m) was shot over the foundation of an existing ghetto wall. Grid 2 (10x12m) and grid 3 (10x10m) were conducted after EM61 (a high-resolution, time domain metal detector) picked up signals interpreted as a large metal object. GPR data from Grids 2 and 3 confirm the EM61 results through strong ringing reflections illustrated in the grids profiles. These rigning patterns indicate metal objects buried in the subsurface at a depth of one meter. The results of the EM61 and GPR was enough evidence to attract the interest of archeologists at the Warsaw Museum. The museum enacted a recovery permit to investigate the hyperbolic reflections observed in grid 2, which could be interpreted as the Ringelblum archives. Although the Ringelblum archives were not found during excavation, many other artifacts were recovered suggesting that attempts to erase evidence of Jewish existence was not successful.
