Adoption of agroforestry practices in Bangladesh as a climate change mitigation option: Investment, drivers, and SWOT analysis perspectives

•This study draws impetus from the UN-SDGs 13 on climate change mitigation.•We attempted to uncover the agroforestry practice adoption in Bangladesh.•Agroforestry gives higher BCR, NPV, and IRR.•Household size, age, education, training, extension visits, and market access influenced agroforestry adoption.•Lack of technical support, technical skill and training were the prime constraints.
