Design of Photovoltaic Systems for Residential Houses.

The Slovak Republic depends on the import of primary energy sources and almost 90% of them are forced to import. Optimal use of renewable resources is one of the key factors in achieving a low carbon economy, with emphasis on the development of renewable resources, especially in heat production. The standard household uses on average a significant part of its income per year for energy. Currently, we are under pressure from ever-increasing energy costs, which is also a social problem. The population is increasingly focusing on the energy efficiency of buildings and is interested in energy saving options. Since the beginning of 2022, energy expenditure has been significantly higher. The active role of the state in supporting the increase of energy efficiency of buildings is important. This should also be ensured through renewable energy sources, in particular through the installation of photovoltaic systems in family houses. This paper presents the possibilities of economic simulation of the operation of photovoltaic system installations on a model family house in the Slovak Republic. These aspects of simulation can help homeowners and residents accurately estimate the energy efficiency of such systems.
