摘要
•The simplified 5-factor modified frailty index (mFI-5) indicates surgery outcomes.•However, the mFI-5 has not been validated according to age groups to date.•We studied the mFI-5 utility on meningioma surgery patients across age groups.•The mFI-5 predicted the risk of in-hospital worsening, mortality, and complications.•The mFI-5 was more useful in non-elderly patients than in elderly patients.
