摘要
As there is little evidence on the impact during adjuvant chemotherapy in elderly colorectal cancer patient‘s functional, psychosocial, physical, and cognitive abilities in the patients aged 70 years or older, we need a new scale other than PS to assess activity in the elderly. Geriatric Assessment in the elderly (CGA analysis: G8, IADL, Mini-COG) has been recognized as an indicator of difficulty and continuity of chemotherapy. This prospective observational cohort study is enrolling newly diagnosed Stage III colorectal cancer patients aged 70 years or older after the curative surgery at Osaka Rosai hospital from 1st April 2020 to 31st March 2022. Patients are assessed for multidisciplinary evaluation of an older adult‘s functional, psychosocial, physical, and cognitive abilities, using the G8, IADL, and Mini-COG questionnaires on enrollment, 3, 6, and 12 months during administration of the capecitabine for 6 months. The primary endpoint is the impairment or recovery of G8, IADL, and Mini-COG during or after 6 months of adjuvant treatment with the capecitabine. The secondary endpoints are recurrence free survival, progression free survival, and safety.
