摘要

•Nanosecond pulses induce the multiphoton reaction of trivalent europium in methanol.•Laser-fluence dependence of the reaction is obtained in a range of 102–104 mJ cm−2.•Quantum yields of each step of the two-photon process are determined.•A photo product of divalent europium is monitored by in-situ absorption spectroscopy.
