摘要
•A joint-nested structure for high-performance wind energy harvesting is presented.•A transition from vortex-induced vibration to high-energy galloping vibration is realized.•Performance of JNS-PWEH can be improved by 1040% compared to traditional PWEH.•Adjusting the joint-nested structure dimensions can interfere with the cylinder vibration.•JNS-PWEH can output power of 2.22 mW and easily lit up 126 LEDs in 6.6 m/s.
