Exploring Health Care Provider’s Perspectives on Maternal Health and Racial Inequity in Georgia
Journal of obstetric, gynecologic, and neonatal nursing/JOGN nursing(2022)
摘要
Maternal mortality is a significant public health problem in the United States, particularly for Black women, who are three and a half times more likely than White women to die from pregnancy-related causes. Georgia has one of the highest rates of pregnancy-associated deaths, and Black women experience 2.7 times more maternal deaths than White women. We conducted a qualitative study with health care providers (HCPs) to ascertain their perspectives on contributors to racial disparities in maternal care in Georgia.
