摘要
This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of preoperative rehabilitation post total knee arthroplasty (TKA). A compressive search was conducted in Pub Med, Cochrane library, Science direct, Google scholar, PEDro from January 1,2012 to June 1, 2022. Two reviewers independently screened all the retrieved studies for inclusion. Full text for all the potentially relevant studies were obtained for data extraction. Any disagreement between the two of them were discussed and resolved. Three hundred and nine articles were found post keyword search, After the removal of duplicates, the remaining two hundred and eighty six abstracts were examined, two hundred and seventy five articles didn’t meet the eligibility criteria and finally eleven articles were included. Prehabilitation improves the outcomes of total knee arthroplasty patients and should be used as an adjunct to rehabilitation post TKA. More primary investigations are needed to support these findings and to determine the long-term impact of the same.
