摘要

•SCO and porous media together show synergistic effect in hydrate formation process.•The difference in the promotion of hydrates of different types (sI, sII) was found.•Avrami model was used to access the kinetics of hydrate promotion.•SCO acts as a effective «green» promoter for methane storage in hydrate form in porous media.
