The use of microfluidic devices in studies of differential sperm chemotaxis

Differential sperm chemotaxis de-scribes differences among male- female pairings in chemotactic responses of sperm to egg (or female)-derived chemical attrac-tants. Microfluidic devices pro-vide powerful platforms in which to study this complex gamete in-teraction. Here, we describe key challenges and potential solutions in applying this state-of-the-art technique to differential sperm chemotaxis.
