Preparation of clorprenaline certified reference material: Purity determination and uncertainty evaluation

•A novel purity certified reference material (CRM) of clorprenaline (GBW 09255) was developed.•Three independent principles method were first applied for the purity CRM.•The main parameters and uncertainty evaluation were systematically investigated.•The developed CRM can be used for the nationwide quality and safety monitoring and the traceability of measurement results.
