Abstract
This article introduces the emergency monitoring of environmental samples during the events of nuclear leakage in Japan in March 2011. 17 environmental samples were collected, and the concentration of gamma emitting radionuclides was analyzed. The monitoring results show that small amounts of artificial radionuclides, I-131 and Cs-137, were detected in pakchois and spinach on April 7. We also compared the measurement results with average values of the radionuclide activity concentrations in the same samples over Zhejiang province in the recent ten years.
