Abstract
Genistein is one of the natural isoflavones. It is a phytoestrogen having several pharmacological characteristics. It inhibited tyrosine and topoisomerase. That resulted in inhibition of cell proliferation and death of cancerous cells. In general the aging or cutaneous changes in females are linked with estrogen level. This can be reversed by given estrogen supplementation. Estrogen deficiency in postmenopausal women linked to atrophy, dehydration, fine wrinkling, and poor wound healing. Genistein and some other isoflavones bind to estrogen receptors and improve skin changes. This study focuses on the benefits of genistein and other isofavones on skin safety and healing in various skin disorders. As and when genistein administered topically in the form of creams (anti-wrinkle, skin tone, anti-skin aging, day, and night), face masks, micellar water, and other dosage forms based on nanotechnology.
