摘要
A 53-year-old man was found to have a 5-cm renal cyst in the upper pole of the left kidney as shown by CT (A). On EUS, the renal cyst was anechoic and septal, without a thickened wall (B). Transgastric puncture of the renal cyst was performed with a 19-gauge needle (Echo Tip Ultra; Wilson-Cook, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA). Then lauromacrogol (15 mL) was injected into the renal cyst after aspiration. The patient was under general anesthesia during the procedure. At the follow-up visit 3 months after discharge, the renal cyst in the left kidney was noted to have shrunk obviously after EUS-guided sclerotherapy (C; Video 1, available online at www.giejournal.org). To our knowledge, this is the first report of EUS-guided sclerotherapy as a feasible and safe approach to evaluate and treat a renal cyst, especially located centrally or anteriorly in the upper pole or midpole of the kidney.
