Hertzian Stress Analysis of Metal and 3D Printing Materials

In this paper proposed the hertzian contact stress analysis of two components which were made of steel and Nylon 6. This material can be used for 3D printing purposes. In novelty, the authors want to observe the contact pressure between those two materials by considering as torque transmission elements, Gear and Pinion. It was observed that highest contact stress was on Nylon materials when it was in contact with steel and validated through computational techniques.
