In this talk, we demonstrated a silicon photonic modulator that supports single-channel data rates of 50Gb/s and above. The modulator includes a 50GHz GeSi electroabsorption modulators, carrier depletion-based phase-shifters supporting Mach-Zehnder and micro-ring modulators.
