Variaciones En La Captura De Carbono Por Cambio De Uso De Suelo, En Zonas De Páramo En Cajamarca, Perú

Paramo ecosystems are suffering and will continue to suffer changes in land use, accelerating or decreasing carbon sequestration, to the detriment of biodiversity. The aim was to determine the carbon of the organic matter of the vegetation (MOv), and the carbon of the organic matter of the soil (MOs), in páramo areas in different land uses. Areas were demarcated by pasture use (AUP), forest use (AUF) and natural use (AUN). To estimate the carbon content, soil samples were taken at depths of 0-10, 10-20 and 20-30 cm, and botanical samples were part area of stems and foliage, part soil roots. Significant differences (IC, 95%) were obtained with higher values in AUF for COv, and in AUP for COs. The human impact is relatively small in the carbon of the soil organic matter, but the impact is large in the carbon of the organic matter of the vegetation in the forest use area.
