Abstract
While treating psychotic patients, promoting strategies for therapy adherence often plays an important role. In doing so, different materials and methods can be implemented. By means of randomized samples of 30 inpatients each in the before and after implementation of the modular “Kompass“ system, we evaluated the subjective satisfaction of our clinic patients with their treatment. The patients specialized satisfaction with the treatment (focus on “shared decision making”) showed a statistical significant improvement (p = 0.04; effect size: Cohen’s d = 0.52). We found no statistical significant association between the patients satisfaction with the treatment and several parts of the modular system (goal-directed therapy planning; psychoeducation, evaluation of the materials). Use of such a modular system as the “Kompass” system, suggest certain positive effects concerning patient subjective satisfaction with treatment.
