Optimization of Fiber Profile Based on Ultrashort Fundamental Soliton Compression

摘要
Nearly optimum fiber profile has been found for Linear dispersion decreasing fiber (LDDF) in regards with the pulse width (200fs) after compression. A comparative study has been made among dispersion compensating fiber (DCF), LDDF and fiber Bragg grating (FBG) based on ultrashort fundamental soliton compression. Higher order effects has been considered for ultrashort pulses. Nonlinear Schrodinger equation (NLSE) has been solved by split-step Fourier (SSF) method for analyzing ultrashort fundamental soliton propagation and compression numerically.
