Construction and Application of Power Transaction Security Check System in China Southern Power Grid

In view of the problem that the decentralized decision-making of power transaction may lead to the extreme power grid operation mode affecting the safe operation of the power grid, China Southern Power Grid has developed a set of power transaction security check system according to the actual situation. The system adopts the two-step check system of centralized power security analysis and power transmission limit calculation, and constructs the power security check model based on the security constrained unit commitment model. According to the check results, the paper gives suggestions on the adjustment of various transactions, successfully realizes the automatic processing of power transaction security check, reduces the manual workload, avoids the query of market subjects, increases the transparency of power transaction security check and ensures the coordination of power grid operation and market operation. The construction and application of the system helps CSG to solve the problem of Yunnan and Guangxi province’s surplus hydropower consumption.
