Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the structural changes between absorptive-active fillers and rubber matrix in composite materials as a result of the impact of a magnetic field. An isotropic magnetite filler was used as absorption-active filler and barium and strontium-substituted hexaferrites with a high field of intrinsic magnetic anisotropy were used as anisotropic fillers. Different elastomeric materials were used as a base for a matrix. Exploration of the structural changes and organization of the filler particles and rubber matrix was done using optical microscopy. The magnetic field was applied during film formation with 1800Oe for 24-48h. Optical microscopy observation was performed on the thin film samples. The obtained composite materials with different ferromagnetic fillers can be used for microwave absorbing materials for specific areas of shielding applications.
