Opiniões, necessidades e preferências dos utilizadores das bibliotecas hospitalares

Se presentan los resultados de un estudio sobre las opiniones, necesidades e intereses de los usuarios de las bibliotecas hospitalarias de la zona centro de Portugal. Esta investigación se llevó a cabo con la finalidad de conocer si los recursos y servicios de las bibliotecas de los hospitales contribuyen a la calidad de los cuidados prestados a los pacientes, a la práctica de la investigación y a la formación continua de los profesionales. Para ello se llevó a cabo una encuesta a 121 usuarios de las bibliotecas de siete hospitales de la zona centro de Portugal. Los resultados ponen de manifiesto las fortalezas y debilidades de los servicios bibliotecarios, a menudo poco conocidos, y cuya valoración varía dependiendo del tipo de usuario y de las iniciativas desarrolladas por las propias bibliotecas. The results of a study about the opinions, needs and interests of the users of the hospital libraries of the central area of Portugal are presented. This research was carried out with the purpose of knowing if the resources and services of the libraries of the hospitals contribute to the quality of the care provided to the patients, to the practice of the research and to the continuous training of the professionals. For this purpose, a survey was carried out to 121 users of the libraries of seven hospitals in the central area of Portugal. The results highlight the strengths and weaknesses of library services, often little known, and whose assessment varies depending on the type of user and the initiatives developed by the libraries themselves.
