Abstract
A 16-year-old man admitted to our hospital because of severe anemia due to gastric cancer. Endoscopic findings showed that the gastric cancer was classified as Borrmann's type II. Further examinations of the colon revealed multiple polypoid lesions. Colonic polypectomy and total gastrectomy were performed. One year later, he was suffered from epileptic seizure due to a brain tumor. The tumor was resected, and the histological findings showed a glioblastoma multiforme. The diagnosis of Turcot's syndrome was made by the complication of adenomatous polyposis coli and glioblastoma. Turcot's syndrome is a rare congenital disease classified as adenomatous polyposis coli. Some reports show the complication of gastric and duodenal polyps with this syndrome. However, to our knowledge, this is the first case report of complication of gastric cancer with Turcot's syndrome.
