Development of ultrasonic testing automatic scanning device based on path recognition

Aiming at the high requirements of the stability and reliability of scanning devices based on new ultrasonic testing technologies for various butt welds of pressure equipment, a magnetic wheel adsorption automatic scanning device with path recognition function was designed. Solidworks is used for 3d modeling of the scanning device, and finite element method is used for magnetic adsorption analysis. Freescal MC9S12XS128 single-chip microcomputer is used as the control core. The path adjustment control algorithm adopts the incremental digital PID control algorithm, and the automatic crawler rapidly adjusts the motion direction according to the actual weld path to ensure the scanning accuracy of detection probe. The application shows that the permanent magnet wheel adsorption automatic scanning device with path recognition is feasible, which can realize the probe scanning track moving along the weld during the detection process smoothly, and can reach the motion precision required by ultrasonic detection.
