Fast Oscillation Source Location Method Based on Instantaneous Active/Reactive Power Direction

摘要
In this paper, a novel circuit law called Kirchhoff's power law (KPL) is proposed based on Kirchhoff's current law (KCL) to help the location of active and reactive power oscillation sources in modern power electronics dominated power systems. The proposed KPL provides a theoretical base to locate the root cause of the oscillations based on the dynamic power flows at the oscillation frequency. By this source location method, not only the active power oscillation sources can be located in an easy and fast way, but also the reactive power oscillation sources can be clearly defined and located by applying the proposed KPL. In the end, case studies are presented in this paper to evaluate the effeteness of the proposed KPL and power oscillation source location method.
