Mobile Hands-On Molecular Biological Methods Coming Into The Classroom - Analysis Of Dna At School

The developed project deals with theoretical and practical aspects of hands-on molecular biological methods like DNA isolation, PCR and DNA electrophoresis. A significant influence on the experimental self-efficacy expectation of students (11th grade) of a German high school with regard to performing and evaluating experiments could be proven. The project ensures a mobile usage of all necessary materials and equipment in every classroom and connects theoretical aspects of modern molecular biological techniques with suitable experiments.
