Réinfection Varicelleuse Sous La Forme D’une Méningo-Encéphalite : Une Complication Rare Et Grave Chez Un Jeune Adulte Immunocompétent
Anesthésie & Réanimation(2021)
摘要
Varicella-zoster virus (VZV) is a neurotropic virus that remains latent in the sensory glands. It can reactivate in different forms, the most common being Shingles. Other respiratory or neurological manifestations are more rare. Primary infection confers immunity, but second primary infections are possible in severe forms. We report a case of chickenpox reinfection in an immunocompetent young adult in the form of chickenpox meningitis with cutaneous rash having progressed well under treatment.
